Inclusion Criteria
(what you must have in order to enter the
trial):
Disease Characteristics
- You have squamous cell
carcinoma of the head and neck
- The cancer cells express
the Ep-CAM molecule (which you will be
tested for once you enter the trial)
- Your have received therapy
for the cancer but the cancer persisted
or came back
Prior/Concurrent Therapy
- It has been at least 2
weeks since the last dose of
anti-cancer therapy or radiotherapy or
4 weeks since
any investigational therapy and the first
dose of the study drug
Patient Characteristics
- ECOG score of 0, 1, 2 or
3.
- No renal or hepatic disease
Other
- Patients must not become
pregnant while participating in this trial
Exclusion
Criteria (reasons you will not be allowed
to enter into the trial):
- You are eligible to have
surgery to treat your cancer
- You are eligible to receive
additional chemotherapy or radiation therapy
to treat your cancer
- You have a nasopharyngeal
tumor
- Your tumors are prone to
bleeding
- You are on a “blood
thinning medication” and you can not
stop taking the medication
- Your cancer has spread to
other parts of your body including to the
brain.
